Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while supporting mobility, transfers, and meal preparation. Manage medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, and client transportation or errands. Provide companionship and emotional support to homebound individuals in St. Louis City and County. Requirements include at least one year of professional caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, and availability for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Every other weekend availability is mandatory with a minimum of 30 hours per month. Candidates must be comfortable working in homes with pets or smokers and possess the physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Auto insurance coverage
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Minimum 30 hours of availability per month
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving, CNA, or home care experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and reach overhead
- Comfortable working in homes with pets or smokers
- Ability to use proper safety equipment (gloves, masks, etc.)
- Ability to read and follow care instructions and safety guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus
