Job Summary
Support clients with daily living activities, including turning, ambulation, personal hygiene, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Provide comfort measures such as therapeutic baths, ice packs, and dressings as needed. Record vital information regarding food intake, urinary and fecal output, and communicate observations effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff. Foster a caring environment by offering companionship and emotional support to elderly clients in Norwood, LA. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care. CNAs earn $13-14/hour and non-certified caregivers earn $12-13/hour. Flexible schedules include both day and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent
- State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication abilities, particularly oral communication, for interacting with clients, healthcare professionals, and team members
- A calm, professional demeanor, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced situations
