Job Summary
Provide compassionate, hands-on support to residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Ensure residents' safety and comfort while monitoring for changes in physical or cognitive conditions, documenting care, and communicating with nurses, family members, and team members. Offer specialized support for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia using patience to engage residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Complete three consecutive days of required training and Educare training prior to working scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of experience in assisted living or skilled nursing
- Ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
- Three consecutive days of training
- Completion of Educare training
