Job Summary
Perform client wellness checks, assist with admission documents, and provide non-medical support based on individual service plans. Train other caregivers on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in the client's home while maintaining strict confidentiality of all records. Follow agency rules and policies, submit required documentation accurately, and immediately report any incidents of injury or suspected abuse to your supervisor. Submit all required documentation accurately and on time. Adhere to the individual service plan for each recipient. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client records and information unless authorized by written consent. Immediately report any incidents of injury involving the service recipient or yourself to your supervisor. Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities and your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have valid State ID/ Drivers License.
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Honesty and integrity in all interactions.
- Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD).
