Job Summary
Perform non-medical in-home and community care based on the Client Service Plan, including client wellness checks, assisting with admission documents, and training other caregivers on Activities of Daily Living. Follow all rules, policies, and procedures related to service delivery while submitting required documentation accurately and maintaining strict confidentiality of client records. Immediately report any incidents of injury involving the service recipient or yourself to your supervisor, and report any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities. Positions are available Sunday through Saturday with varying shifts based on client needs. Fluency in Spanish is required for one available position. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid state ID or driver's license, and possess reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have valid State ID/ Drivers License
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Honesty and integrity in all interactions
- Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD)
- One of the available positions requires a caregiver who is fluent in Spanish
