Job Summary
Caregivers provide non-medical in-home and/or community care based on the Client Service Plan. Responsibilities include wellness checks, assisting with admission documents, training other caregivers on Activities of Daily Living in the client's home, maintaining compliance and accurate documentation, following individual service plans, protecting client confidentiality, and promptly reporting incidents or suspected abuse to supervisors. Must be 18+, have a valid state ID/driver's license, reliable transportation, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, honest approach; willingness to participate in trainings provided by referral agencies and MHDD.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have valid State ID/ Drivers License.
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Honesty and integrity in all interactions.
- Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD).
