Job Summary
Caregivers at Charis Hearts provide non-medical in-home and/or community care based on the Client Service Plan. Responsibilities may include: wellness checks to ensure client well-being, assisting with admission documents, training other caregivers on ADLs, providing non-medical support to recipients, following all rules and procedures, adhering to individual service plans, maintaining confidentiality, promptly reporting incidents or suspected abuse or neglect, and ensuring safety. Flexible scheduling across Sundays–Saturdays based on client need; benefits include health coverage options, weekly direct deposit, and online training. Requires 18+ and valid ID/driver's license, reliable transportation, strong communication skills, compassion, honesty, and willingness to attend training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have valid State ID/ Drivers License
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Honesty and integrity in all interactions
- Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD)
