Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism with daily living skills, personal care, meals, light transportation, documentation, and advocacy in a safe, supportive home environment. Responsibilities include facilitating community engagement and recreational activities, preparing meals, transporting individuals to appointments, administering medications with training provided, maintaining a clean living space, and promoting dignity and person-centered support. The role emphasizes compassionate, dependable teamwork, with opportunities for career development through the LEAP Program and NADSP certification; requires at least 18 years old, a valid driver’s license, and a GED or high school diploma.
