Job Summary
Provide residents' care including grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, and ambulation using appropriate assistive devices. Change bed linens, maintain grooming supplies, and routinely turn and position residents. Record vital signs, weights, measurements, intake, output, and food consumption. Respond promptly to call lights and ensure a shift report is given at the beginning of each shift. Observe and immediately report unusual occurrences, significant changes in condition, or refusals of treatment to the Charge Nurse. Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality while respecting their choices and property.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience giving personal care to individuals in a health care setting preferred
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periods
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
