Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene while encouraging independence. Provide meal service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and participate in leisure activities based on the activity calendar. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment through daily general housekeeping, laundry, and dining room duties. Respond promptly to resident and family requests, ensuring dignified care and reporting health or safety changes to the supervisor. Adhere to established policies, emergency procedures, and HIPAA regulations while supporting new employee training and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
