Career Transition Service Specialist - Part Time

Job Summary
Provide transitional, placement, and follow-up services to former enrollees and graduates as the principal point of contact. Initiate referrals to off-center specialists and community agencies, then contact employers and one-stop centers to arrange interviews. Maintain regular contact with former students, document activities in the automated case management system, and verify placements meeting PRH requirements using ETA-678. Collaborate with career development specialists and workforce development centers statewide to gather information and produce placement reports. Requires two years of related experience, a bachelor's or associate's degree in human services or counseling, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license. This part-time role supports the center's mission to connect youth with employment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel
- Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat
- High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and counsel students effectively
- Two years related experience
- Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs
- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience
- Valid State Driver's License
