Job Summary
Leads and oversees the Career Transition Phase of the CDSS program, guiding students ages 16-24 toward successful transitions into full-time employment, college, advanced training, or military service. Drives job development and placements, coordinates job fairs and partner engagements, analyzes Labor Market Information, sets CTS placement goals, manages staff performance, and ensures program resources and compliance. Key duties include supervising staff, conducting evaluations, training and cross-training, maintaining budget and supplies, presenting to external partners, and fostering linkages with schools, businesses, and community organizations to promote student placements. Requires strong communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills; must relate effectively to culturally diverse and disadvantaged youth and maintain CPR/FA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field
- Three years’ work-related experience, one of which involved direct managerial/supervisory responsibilities.
- Must obtain and maintain valid CPR/FA certificate
