Job Summary
Teach Computer Science and technical skills to high school students, covering modern programming languages (C++, Java, JavaScript), Digital Foundations, Advanced Digital Circuits & Microprocessors, and Programming and Networking Basics. Collaborate with industry and college partners to deliver curricula. This probationary position begins the 2026-2027 school year and requires a Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in the Computer Science subject area. The appointment is made by the Board of Education following assessment of training, experience, and evaluation of service.
Required Qualifications
- Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in the Computer Science subject area
- Ability to teach Computer science and technical skills to high school students
- Teaching experience with C++
- Teaching experience with Java
- Teaching experience with JavaScript
- Teaching experience with Digital Foundations
- Teaching experience with Advanced Digital Circuits & Microprocessors
- Teaching experience with Programming and Networking Basics
- Ability to collaborate with industry and college partners to deliver curricula
