Job Summary
Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of career technical instruction per approved curricula. Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits while coordinating with counselors to resolve issues affecting student training. Develop and prepare lessons, recommend curricula changes, and maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment. This on-call, as-needed Monday through Friday role at the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI requires substitute teaching certification, two years of related trade experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Substitute teaching certification/license, or accredited as required by the state of employment
- Two (2) years of related trade experience and skill to instruct with designated subject matter area
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
