Job Summary
Directly supervises academic instructors, evening studies coordinator, scheduling/testing coordinator and secretary; manages the department's administrative and programmatic activities; develops and monitors the departmental budget; creates and enforces policies and procedures for career counseling and preparation; coordinates with other departments to meet center objectives; conducts staff training and performance evaluations; ensures accurate record-keeping and CIS documentation; conducts training in counseling techniques and group facilitation; coordinates student assessment panels, health and wellness services, retention programs, and employability activities; promotes center safety and a harassment-free environment; supports the center's career success standards and collaborates with external community services to enhance student progress and performance; requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of counseling-related experience with two years in a supervisory role, plus a valid driver’s license.
