Career Services Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate and lead Harbor’s Career Services to support clients’ employment goals. Provide vocational assessment and guidance, conduct initial interviews, develop and update Individualized Employment Plans (IEPs), supervise Career Services Specialists, and collaborate with HR and OMJ partners. Deliver workshops/classes to job seekers, maintain accurate client records and documentation, and evaluate client readiness for employment. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related behavioral/mental field, at least two years of vocational rehabilitation experience, CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI certifications within 90 days, proficiency with Microsoft Word, and a valid driver’s license with insurability under Harbor’s policy. Preference given to candidates licensed in Ohio (LSW or LPC) and those with vocational rehabilitation experience with the stated client population.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or closely related behavioral/mental field from an accredited college or university
- plus 2 years vocational rehabilitation experience (providing vocational rehabilitation services such as job development, job coaching)
- CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment
- Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Word
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance
- Preference for Ohio license (LSW or LPC) and/or vocational rehabilitation experience with the noted client population
- Ability to coordinate, supervise, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders (HR, Harbor leadership, OMJ, county partners)
- Strong documentation skills for client records, reports, and IEPs
- Ability to conduct initial interviews, career assessments, and develop/update IEPs
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional activities
- Experience with program evaluation and data interpretation
- Knowledge of entitlements/financial assistance (SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8, Food Stamps) as it pertains to clients
