Job Summary
Career Services Advisor at Platt College Los Angeles coordinates and delivers on-campus career services activities (resume/interview workshops, career fairs, open houses, alumni luncheons) and supports job-search efforts for graduates; collaborates with program chairs and department staff to arrange guest speakers, workshops, field trips, and community partnerships; maintains contact with alumni for job prospects, monitors job-site activity, assists with employment verifications, and ensures smooth first-term transitions for new students through in-person meetings. Requires strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn admissions policies and academic standards. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 1 year of relevant experience; overtime as needed. Location: Alhambra, CA (onsite). Serves in a customer-service oriented role supporting student placement and career services with potential evening/weekend requirements.
