Job Summary
Career Level Estimator to support DOE Hanford TWO/WTP project controls. Responsibilities include preparing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) with well-documented basis of estimate, performing Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) cost analyses, supporting technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with DOE cost-quality criteria. Develop strategies to improve project performance and assist in reviewing technical evaluations. Qualifications include a BS/BA (or AA/MS/MBA/PhD, etc.) in engineering, science, or business management; 5 years direct estimating experience on complex capital projects (8 years experience may substitute for the degree); experience with federal regulations; and strong communication and Microsoft 365 skills. Preferred to have experience providing project controls or estimating support to HFO and knowledge of Hanford processes and DOE procedures.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA (or AA, MS, MBA, PhD, etc.) degree in engineering, science or business management
- 8 years of experience may be substituted for BS/BA degree
- 5 years of directly applicable experience as an estimator on complex capital projects
- Experience with researching and navigating complex federal regulations

- Career-level experience in: Quantity Development Package process in Bechtel National, Inc.'s (BNI’s) and Hanford Tank Waste Operations and Closure (H2C) estimating procedures
- Rate buildup including Project Services, Shared Services and fee within BNI Requests for Equitable Adjustment
- Hanford Site contractor forward pricing rates
- BNI and H2C contract
- Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management tools used at Hanford
- Exceptional communication skills
- Expert-level proficient in Microsoft 365
