Job Summary
Lead special projects driving innovation and continuous improvement across live poultry, pet food, and animal nutrition plants during a six-month rotational development program. Gain hands-on exposure to supply chain, sales, finance, and operations while participating in classroom training, mentoring, and on-the-job coaching. Evaluate performance through ongoing feedback and coaching to demonstrate readiness for leadership. After graduation, transition into a Production Supervisor role where you will lead teams, ensure safety, deliver product to customers, and maintain operational excellence. Extensive regional travel is required during the initial program phase.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and desire to take care of people
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be familiar with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Must be able to move about in a manufacturing environment and surrounding property
- Minimum 2 years of education with 2 years experience or a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience
- Must be able to enter and locate information on a computer
- Must be able to visually verify information, often in small print
- Must be able to communicate with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail
- Must be able to present information to small or large groups
- Must be able to participate as a member of the Team
- Must be able to participate in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies
- Must be able to attend appropriate team meetings
- Must be able to foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues
- Must be able to accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness
- Must be able to work with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues
- Must be able to actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization
