Job Summary
Senior Electrical Analysis Engineer responsible for electrical power transmission and signal-communication analysis for subsea/offshore production systems; develop minimal-cost front-end architectures and equipment manufacturing baselines to ensure functionality, performance, safety, and environmental criteria. Create and publish analysis reports, perform numerical analysis for electrical power supply and transmission systems and for signal distribution, define required input data for high-fidelity simulations of equipment architectures, collaborate with clients and suppliers to align data needs, identify system-architecture risks (including failure and recovery modes and automated/autonomous shutdown systems), and assist in documenting and negotiating system and product requirements in coordination with Systems Engineering; work closely with the Systems Engineering Group in Kongsberg, Norway.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
- Min. 6 years of experience in analysis or related field
- Broad knowledge of electrical system components (transmission lines, cables, switches, fuses, power transformers)
- Ability to use electrical circuit simulation tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, MicroCap, MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools
- Good communication skills in English (B2)
