Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive case management, career coaching, and workforce navigation for opportunity youth facing barriers to employment. Deliver one-on-one instruction in work readiness, coordinate work-based learning experiences, and support enrollment in education and credential programs. Build partnerships with employers and community organizations to expand career opportunities while maintaining accurate case files and tracking program metrics. Work Monday through Friday in a hybrid environment, requiring regular in-office days at IRC offices in El Cajon and City Heights, occasional field travel throughout San Diego County, and flexibility for evening or weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant professional experience in the field of human services
- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations
- Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills
- Ability to effectively build internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work product
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a personal, insured vehicle
- Ability to drive an IRC passenger van
- Requires regular work from IRC's El Cajon and City Heights offices
- Occasional travel throughout San Diego County
- Occasional work during evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study
- Work experience in the field of human services (strongly preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience (strongly preferred)
- Fluency in language(s) spoken by local refugee and immigrant populations
- Creativity
