Job Summary
The Career Development Specialist is accountable for providing career advisement and case management, developing sector-based career pathways, and ensuring members receive necessary support services. Responsibilities include guiding members through their career plans, facilitating workshops, and monitoring progress in programming goals while addressing barriers to engagement. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and at least 2 years of experience in related professions, ideally with knowledge of social services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, psychology, education, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or occupational rehabilitation
- Minimum of 2 years successful work experience in finance, financial education, financial planning, social work, coaching/mentoring, or teaching
- Experience working with public assistance recipients, formerly incarcerated individuals, and those affected by poverty

- Familiarity with social and human services organizations
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
