Career Development Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinate career guidance and counseling activities while promoting business/education partnerships and publicizing career development education. Facilitate student experiences for career focus, provide educators with labor market information, and assist students in transitioning from education to work or further training. Serve as a liaison with industry and educational partners, maintain career resources, and collaborate with CTE teachers on special population services. Promote Career and Technical Education advantages to students, parents, and community members to facilitate appropriate placement. This 12-month exempt position supports instructional policies and post-assessment testing processes. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel between schools and community sponsors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Career-Technical Education program area
  • Master's degree in school counseling
  • Additional courses for state CDC licensure
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to use a variety of equipment, such as computers, copiers, and a variety of audiovisual equipment
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural, or composite characteristics of data, people or things
  • Ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information

  • Ability to prepare correspondence, simple reports, forms, instructional materials, etc., using prescribed format
