Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group counseling programs for assigned students in compliance with government directives. Conduct personal interviews and assessments to analyze student needs and recommend tailored programs. Provide direct aid for personal needs, sickness, injuries, and family problems while preparing UA reports and verifying information. Deliver continuous educational, social, and adjustment counseling on an individual and group basis. Maintain up-to-date documentation, case notes, and records using CIS and other systems. Evaluate progress, coordinate problem cases, and refer students to transfers, extensions, or college placement as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree including 15 semester hours in social services related instruction
- one (1) year experience in counseling or related field
- Experience with youth
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license
- an acceptable driving record
