Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group counseling programs for assigned students while reviewing background files and conducting personal interviews. Provide direct aid for personal needs, illnesses, or emergencies, prepare UA reports, and maintain individual folders and documentation in CIS. Deliver continuous educational, social, and adjustment counseling on an individual and group basis, evaluating progress and recommending program modifications. Recommend medical or psychiatric evaluations for emotional or psychological problems, coordinate problem cases, and facilitate referrals to other program areas or college placement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree including 15 semester hours in social services related instruction
- one (1) year experience in counseling or related field
- Experience with youth
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer proficiency

- Bi-lingual Spanish
