Job Summary
Career Counselor provides career counseling and coaching to help customers improve their training and professional skillset to obtain employment in their desired field. Essential functions include conducting comprehensive assessments (career aptitude), recommending workforce programs and services at local/state/federal levels, offering interview and resume assistance and soft-skill development, guiding on local job market and educational opportunities, and enabling access to employment resources. Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s or undergraduate degree preferred, plus 1 year of relevant experience preferred; valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with a good driving record; ability to relocate within the service area; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
