Job Summary
Conduct career technical, academic, and personal counseling for program participants while assessing and evaluating students on formal and informal levels. Collaborate with departments to aid students in education, training, and community service transitions, and co-facilitate small group social skills sessions. Document monthly counseling sessions, manage projection data, and submit written reports to agencies or review boards. Participate in Career Management Team decisions, student orientations, and weekend on-call rotations, ensuring a safe environment free from harassment. Maintain accountability for staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (including 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction)
- One year experience in counseling or related field
- Experience working with a diverse population of youth
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
