Job Summary
Provide individuals with disabilities with skills training, planning, and advocacy across the employment process. Coordinate efforts with families, schools, and other service providers; supervise work abilities and performance; assess strengths and needs; develop and implement on-the-job training at the work site; design strategies to improve productivity, interpersonal skills, quality of work, and behaviors; assist with job development activities such as visiting potential job sites and attending interviews; provide employers with crisis and technical assistance; complete necessary documentation for program requirements; advocate to support benefits retention and other needs; monitor progress and provide follow-up to maintain employment; perform work-site relation-building and general duties related to job placement and retention.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and experience working with disabled, economically disadvantaged or students
- Associates Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus
