Job Summary

Conduct individual and group career counseling, programming, and events for graduate and professional students. Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness initiatives and develop, facilitate, and assess career service fairs, workshops, and panels. Manage student and employer accounts in Handshake and Navigate, overseeing appointment workflows, reviewing postings for accuracy, and generating reports on activity and outcomes. Assist in developing relationships with employers, community organizations, and government agencies to expand internship and employment opportunities. Support the Gator Growth Internship Program by communicating with supervisors, tracking progress, and managing Canvas documentation. Supervise student workers and interns, handle routine inbox inquiries, create marketing materials using Canva, and serve on university committees as designated.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, business, human resources, communications, marketing or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of professional experience in higher education, career services, employer relations, student affairs, workforce development, or a related administrative role
  • Experience supporting student programs, internships, workshops, or employer engagement activities
  • Experience using Handshake, Navigate, or similar career services platforms
  • Experience creating marketing materials using Canva or comparable design tools
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple, concurrent projects
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with others as a part of a team, including establishing positive working relationships with a diverse group of University stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Must pass a background check
  • Training in Preventing Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Training in FERPA
  • Training in Title IX
  • Training in Hazard Communication Right to Know
  • Training in Active Shooter
  • Training in Office Hazards
