Job Summary

Career and Technical Resource Educator (CTRE) supports students with IEP/504 accommodations by serving as a liaison between special education and career and technical education (CTE) teachers. Responsibilities include locating and creating differentiated resource materials, providing outlined accommodations, managing student case information, liaising with case managers, counselors, administrators and parents; attending IEP/504 and parent meetings to review progress and plan course/secondary outcomes; working with students individually and in small groups on CTE projects, assignments and testing; facilitating a CTRE advisory committee; and maintaining records and contributing to district instructional goals. Requires familiarity with CTE curricula, ability to implement accommodations, maintain professional records, participate in professional development, and support district policies. Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree and Missouri teaching certificate in special education.
