Job Summary
Conduct outreach calls to potential and current program participants, answer questions about appointments, and facilitate presentations in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams. Manage multi-line phone systems, prioritize calls, and assist with mass mailings while utilizing external and internal systems including MS Outlook, SharePoint, and Salesforce. Scan and upload documents to client case files, maintain detailed case notes, update attendance logs, and submit weekly reports on a timely basis. Model professionalism and inclusiveness to cultivate a safe environment for career development and motivate clients toward full-time employment. This role supports America Works of New York, Inc.'s mission to help low-income and underserved job seekers obtain gainful employment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a four-year degree
- Experience with administrative and/or office tasks
- Ability to conduct outreach to potential participants via outgoing calls, community events, tabling, etc.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity and understanding of workforce development, social services, and/or community-based organizations
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Experience and/or passion for serving individuals from disadvantaged and underserved populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with physical and/or mental disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness
- Graduating college seniors encouraged to apply
