Job Summary
Provide 1:1 and small-group career coaching for on-campus master’s students, focusing on career exploration, job/internship search strategy, networking, résumé/LinkedIn development, technical and behavioral interviewing, offer negotiation, and professional communication. Develop industry-cluster programming and co-design employer and alumni engagement to translate technical project experience into clear, employer-ready narratives. Create evergreen student-facing resources, maintain CRM-driven outreach and outcomes data, and collaborate with the on-campus Office of Academic Innovation, academic program teams, and central Career Services to align services for the on-campus master’s population. Roles include occasional evening programming or employer events; hybrid work is possible with strong in-person presence during peak periods. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in career-advising for STEM/engineering students, including knowledge of OPT/CPT and the H-1B sponsorship landscape; proficiency with scheduling platforms, CRM tools, and other career platforms; and excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to coach or advise students/clients on career development topics (job search strategy, résumé/LinkedIn, interviewing, networking)
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, technology-rich environment; ability to learn new tools quickly and work across platforms (scheduling systems, career platforms, CRM tools)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and engaging style
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through; ability to manage multiple priorities and keep work moving in a service environment
- Knowledge of international student hiring pathways (OPT/CPT, H-1B sponsorship landscape)
