Job Summary
Career Advisor provides career counseling and coaching to help customers enhance training and professional skills to obtain employment in their desired field. The role conducts comprehensive assessments to determine occupational interests and aptitude, identifies training needs, guides job seekers through the career development and exploration process using tools such as resume writing and interviewing techniques, and assists with program eligibility for grant-funded services. The position supports workforce program participation at local, state, and federal levels and emphasizes empowering job seekers to find employment. Strong emphasis on English/Spanish bilingual capability, and a valid driver’s license is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates or Undergraduate degree preferred
- Previous related workforce experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
