Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential care home and act as person-in-charge whenever requested by the registered owner. Manage support workers, arrange recruitment and deployment, and conduct effective induction, supervision, and training. Ensure compliance with CQC inspections, fire regulations, and environmental health standards while maintaining infection control and building safety protocols. Assess and meet the emotional, physical, and medical needs of service users, including medication administration and terminal care. Monitor day-to-day expenditure within budget limits, prepare cash flow reports, and manage financial records for service users. Liaise with purchasing authorities, negotiate fees, and investigate complaints by reporting to the person-in-control.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 in care
- At least three years' experience in Care for mental health needs in a residential care setting
- A recognised care qualification, such as a nursing degree in Mental Health
- A minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- A minimum of three years leadership experience in a UK residential care home setting, only for mental health
