Job Summary
Care Team Assistant role at Westside Family Healthcare supporting providers, nurses, and medical assistants in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within an FQHC. Responsibilities include assisting with daily patient care activities, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, guiding patient flow, obtaining basic vital signs, updating patient demographics in the EHR, performing basic procedures (e.g., administering EKGs) with training, assisting with basic lab procedures, maintaining clinical and common areas, following HIPAA and safety protocols, and supporting care team coordination for patient visits and follow-ups. Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or GED, with availability to work evenings and some Saturdays; prior healthcare or community health experience and basic medical terminology knowledge are pluses. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR software is desired, and reliable transportation to travel between sites is needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in healthcare or prior experience in a medical or community health setting
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office software and electronic medical record software
- Availability to work evenings until 9 p.m. and occasionally Saturday morning
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel independently between sites
- Preferred Objective Qualifications: Some advanced training/college courses in Allied Health, Science, Medical Assisting, or other healthcare-related field.
