Care Team Assistant - 7.3 Neurosurgery

Care Team Assistant provides direct, hands-on patient care in the Neurosurgery unit, supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living while reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines. The role reports to the Health Services Manager and operates under the supervision of regulated health professionals within the NS Health system; certification and active registration with the CCA Registry, plus a current Basic Life Support certification, are required. Eligible candidates may be considered if certification can be obtained within 1 year from hire and if relevant education and training are up to date. Shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; permanent full-time position at 75 hours biweekly with 100% FTE.
