Job Summary
The Care Specialist coordinates and manages patient care and service delivery for LHCSA-compliant home care, acting as primary point of contact for patients, providers, and aides; schedules staffing, matches aides to patients, ensures EVV clock-in/clock-out compliance, resolves missed visits and timekeeping discrepancies, maintains documentation, and escalates issues as needed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s preferred), 1+ year of healthcare customer service experience, experience with Salesforce, Medflyt, and Verint, strong communication, empathy, organization, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Remote role with NY-based operations; compensation range $20.00-$23.00 per hour (annualized to $41,600-$47,840 first year), benefits typical of a healthcare employer, and commitment to compliance with LHCSA regulations and EVV requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of customer service in a high volume call center environment, healthcare or homecare agency
- Experience with CRMs or Workforce Technology – Salesforce, Medflyt, and Verint
- Empathy, active listening and patience
- Ability to organize, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to resolve issues over the telephone with eager customers, defusing and de-escalating frustrated callers
- Attention to detail in reviewing records
- Ability to meet and/or exceed targets/metrics
- Computer proficiency; typing skills and ability to leverage technology and resolve customer issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
