Job Summary
The Care Promoter 1, Early Embrace is an unlicensed medical professional responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to support the medical team. Key duties include measuring patient vital signs, assisting physicians with examinations, preparing and administering medications, performing basic lab tests, and maintaining medical supplies. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have completed an accredited medical program, and have at least one year of relevant experience. Skills in customer service, communication, and basic computer operation are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Program as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician Program, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic required
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus
- EMR system experience preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/Creole) a plus
