Job Summary
Care Promoter 1 is an unlicensed medical professional cross-trained to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep medical centers running smoothly, under direct physician supervision. Responsibilities include measuring and recording patient vital signs, communicating patient needs to the PCP/clinician, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with exams, collecting phlebotomy and lab specimens, administering medications as authorized, maintaining supplies and documentation, handling patient communications and follow-ups, and providing health coaching to a defined patient group. Requires high school diploma or GED, completion of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant/EMT/Paramedic program, at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience, BLS certification, and proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office; willingness to travel up to 10% and to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience as Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- EMR system experience preferred
