Job Summary
Assist clients with daily activities, maintain clean living environments, and support personal hygiene needs while promoting their independence and wellbeing. Provide social support through activities, conversations, and companionship, and establish positive relationships via effective communication and active listening. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and promptly report any health or well-being concerns to supervisors. Comply with all relevant social care policies, procedures, and guidelines. This casual role offers flexible weekday rosters with paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, and training.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 3 days a week (Monday to Friday)
- Able to work minimum shifts when required 1 - 2 hours+
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak basic Italian
- Strong empathy and compassion towards others
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the social care industry
- Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support or Nursing students encourgaged to apply
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
- Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
