Job Summary
Handle alarms and inbound phone calls regarding emergency and non-emergency police, fire, and ambulance services while determining response priorities and dispatching according to established procedures. Answer customer questions using scripted and non-scripted responses, verify demographics, and enter customer information into the computer. Troubleshoot alarm systems, report malfunctions for maintenance, and relay messages to appropriate agencies. Maintain access to sensitive materials and refer customer complaints to appropriate persons. Complete new hire training and pass all required compliance testing. This role supports Modivcare's mission to connect underserved populations with care through non-emergency medical transportation and home care services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when needed
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and with teams
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks as the same time
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
