Job Summary
Care Partner (Neuro ICU) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a fast-paced neurological ICU unit. Responsible for assisting with day-to-day patient care, maintaining unit environmental standards, and supporting patient flow. Requires a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and either enrollment in an RN program (with first-semester coursework completed), graduation from a Nursing Assistant/Aide program (certificate required), or at least one year of recent care-partner/patient-care tech experience. Schedule is Full-Time Night Shift (6:45 pm–7:15 am) with rotating shifts. Key competencies include clinical tasks (vital signs, point-of-care testing), patient documentation, environment-of-care duties, communication with patients and families, teamwork, reliability, and professionalism. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration within the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) AND one of the following: Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
