Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, while prioritizing their independence, emotional support, and engagement in life enrichment programs. Provide compassionate, personalized direct care to ensure resident comfort, safety, and well-being within a team setting. Perform light housekeeping duties such as making beds and tidying rooms. Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff. Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate patience and empathy, and adhere to community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines. Willingness to participate in weekend rotation is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current caregiver training/certification per state requirements, such as CNA/GNA/PCA/DCA, or the willingness/ability to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting
- Strong communication skills
