Job Summary
Provide residents assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while recognizing their dignity and respect. Assist residents in meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and check every two hours to report findings. Answer resident calls timely, escort residents to meals, and assist with dining room cleaning and personal laundry. Dispose of incontinent products per OSHA regulations and respond to emergencies. Complete assignment sheets daily, adhere to resident Level of Care, and maintain relationships with residents and families. Follow proper procedures for clocking in and out, wear a name badge, and practice body mechanics for safety.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school education
- Non-Certification with proper training, or possession of valid state certification as C.N.A.
- Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability to perform the job safely or competently
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- In all Florida Companies, this position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years experience in a senior care community or nursing home environment preferred
- Has a good understanding of how Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease can affect behavior
