Job Summary
Care Partner (Caregiver) provides personalized care and assistance to residents in assisted living, focusing on their activities of daily living. Responsibilities include aiding residents with daily needs, ensuring the protection of their rights, responding to emergencies, maintaining sanitary conditions, and encouraging participation in activities. A minimum of 24 hours of continuing education in the first year and 16 hours annually is required, along with CPR and First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a satisfactory criminal history check
- Must have physical exam by a licensed physician
- Must have a negative drug screen
- Must understand the risk of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solutions, and disinfectants
- Must be able to react in an emergency situation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving to older adults preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Desire to work with older adults
