Job Summary
The Care & Operations Specialist I (Medical Assistant) in Pediatrics will perform multiple administrative and clinical functions to support office operations. Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, rooming patients, collecting vital signs and patient history, and assisting with phone triage under the direction of an RN and providers. Required qualifications include excellent communication skills and CPR certification, alongside a high school diploma. Preferred qualifications include a Medical Assistant diploma and some experience in healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of communication procedures, typing and computer skills
- CPR Certification
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience
