Job Summary
Welcome members upon arrival, guiding them through the check-in process and ensuring they feel safe and at home. Update member information in the electronic medical records system, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals for the multi-disciplinary care team. Assist members with filling out paperwork via electronic kiosks, request medical records, and upload documentation to the EMR system. Field questions from prospective and established members, as well as their adult children, and manage the phone line by answering calls, taking detailed messages, and conveying pertinent details. Support center events as needed while maintaining professionalism and flexibility. Fluency in Spanish or other community languages is required where necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills, with a positive and welcoming demeanor
- Passion for providing a quality experience for our senior members
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors, and the public
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and/or electronic medical record systems
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain professionalism and flexibility in a changing work environment
- Fluency in Spanish, or other languages spoken by our people in the communities we serve (where necessary)
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a clinical setting, or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience working with EMR systems a plus
