Job Summary
Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to basic needs such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating. Remind clients to take prescribed medication, help with mobility around the house or outside for doctor's appointments and walks, and plan and prepare meals. Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so, perform housekeeping duties, and offer activities essential for daily living. Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency. Maintain a valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation, with a willingness to enforce health and safety standards. Available to work the same shifts each week with prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
- Great written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work the same shifts each week
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Clear criminal background check and Vulnerable Sector Check
