Job Summary
Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating, for elderly clients or those recovering from medical incidents. Remind clients to take prescribed medication and help with mobility around the house or outside for appointments and walks. Plan and prepare meals, complete client shopping, and perform housekeeping duties while offering essential daily activities. Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations. Maintain a valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation for daily shifts. Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care is required, along with a clear criminal background check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Required Qualifications
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Reliable transportation every single day
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
- Great written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work the same shifts each week
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Clear criminal background check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
