Job Summary
Directly supervise program participants and lead age-appropriate recreation activities while maintaining their location at all times. Plan and implement scheduled events, teach and instruct children in group settings, and act as a role model for young participants. Greet children and parents by name daily, provide customer service, and report any problems to the Site Director. Assist with volunteer supervision, set up and cleanup, and maintain required records. Work the morning shift from 7:00am to 9:00am, arriving on time and dressed appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- A basic knowledge of children's needs as they relate to a before/after school program setting
- Knowledge of age characteristics and appropriate activities for children
- Ability to lead, participate and organize children in a variety of recreation activities
- Maturity
- Good judgment
- Leadership ability
- CPR, First Aid and AED certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within six weeks
- Ability to learn new skills
- Ability to work with others
- Age 16 or older
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
